This two-hour in-person workshop, hosted at Skybound Aerial and Fitness, is designed specifically for aerialists who want a clearer, more confident understanding of the rigging components that keep them safe in the air. Lead by Vertical Art Dance lead rigger/designer, SPRAT level 1 rope access technician Summer Davies, this session breaks down essential concepts in an approachable, practical way.
We’ll Cover:
Essential knots & connectors (carabiners, quick links, swivels)
Safe rigging basics for the aerial arts
Single-point vs. double-point setups
What anchorages are — and common do’s & don’ts
Rope types, inspection, and maintenance
Intro to rigging systems
This workshop is educational in nature and designed to increase your rigging literacy — so you can train smarter, spot red flags, and feel more empowered in any aerial environment!
