Sterling Rope’s innovative F4 is the perfect device for an Aerial Lower Out System (LOS). This system allows for anyone (teachers or students), to safely lower a fully weighted apparatus to the ground.
Currently, studios NOT using a lower out system to protect their students are required to stop the class, pull out a ladder, set the ladder up on some sort of padded surface, (not approved for the ladder by any industry), climb up to the entangled student and attempt to unweight the student from the silks, therefore placing the instructor in a situation where they can both fall to the ground. While a properly installed LOS allows the instructor to maintain the overall class composure while casually walking to the F4 ground anchor station to safely lower the trapped student to the ground.

Sewn from high strength woven nylon, these flat slings offer almost two times the MBS of a tubular sling. These heavy duty slings are great for building anchors.
MBS lbs (kN0 10,116 (45.0)
Sterling sewn slings or are made with the highest quality nylon webbing and computerized precision bar tacking, making them exceptionally strong and lightweight. These slings when paired up, are stronger & more durable than a nylon Span Set! The flat 1” nature of these slings allows them to settle into the strongest part of the connectors with less risk of carabiner overloading.
Sterling Rope CanyonTech has a Technora (tan) sheath which will not melt. Technora is a high grade Arimid fiber which chars (not melts) at 950°F. For a comparison, standard nylon and polyester ropes completely melt under 500°F.

They simplify the process of rigging aerial hammocks while preventing overloading of carabiners. This product is used as a friction hitch for all hammock rigging, offering significant advantages. Friction hitches leave an appropriate amount of material at the master point to be placed into the carabiner. In contrast, traditional silk rigging methods often involve tying silks directly into the carabiner, leading to overloading or off-axis loading. Such practices can create a false sense of security and may subject the carabiner to scrutiny when it fails to perform as designed.
The Sterling® HollowBlock2, a redesigned version of their bestselling friction hitch and autoblock, is now made with a stronger aramid fiber.
The 6.8 mm HollowBlock2 is constructed from 100% Technora® fiber, which enhances abrasion resistance and durability. Its gripping ability stems from its unique hollow-braid design, making it ideal for use as a prusik or Klemheist knot on ropes 7 mm or larger.
Key Benefits:
100% Technora® construction
Significant improvements in durability and performance
Retains the same functionality and grip as the original design
Note: HollowBlocks are sold in sets of two, which is the recommended configuration for aerial arts applications.
The Sterling® HollowBlock was designed by Darren Jeffrey and Sterling Rope Co.® and is proudly made in the USA.
